Montessori Childcare in South London

Our Team

High-Quality, Experienced Staff

The heart of Cute Kids Montessori Nursery School is our nurturing, well trained, and experienced teaching staff. Our teachers are committed to their profession. Their qualification ranges from Early Years Teacher Degree in Childcare and Education (Level 6), Qualified Teachers Status (QTS), Foundation Degree L 4 or Level 5. Montessori Teacher’s qualification (Degree)  and NVQ Level 3 in Childcare and Education

Our teachers and nursery nurses provides continuity of care throughout the year. We operate a Key Worker system. Staff are supported in accessing long and short term training. They have regular supervision/appraisals to identify their training needs while support/advice is also offered in other areas.

The nursery staff members hold Paediatrics First Aid, Safeguarding and Protection of Children, Health and Safety, Movement and Handling, Food and Hygiene, and Infection Control Certificates.

Our teachers and nursery educators know and honour each child’s individual potential and work to create an environment that inspires children to develop inner discipline, self-assurance, and a love of learning.

The teacher, child, and environment create a learning triangle. The classroom is prepared by the teacher to encourage independence, freedom within limits, and a sense of order. The child, through individual choice, makes use of what the environment offers to develop him or herself, interacting with the teacher when support and/or guidance is needed. Children generally have the same teacher from their time at Cute Kids Montessori, allowing close teacher-children relationships to develop.

Multi-age groupings are a hallmark of the Montessori Method: younger children learn from older children; older children reinforce their learning by teaching concepts they have already mastered. The mixed-age aspect also intrinsically helps build their self-esteem. This arrangement also mirrors the real world, where individuals work and socialise with people of all ages and dispositions.
